Who am i ?

 

Behind Catelyn Photographies and Arts hides Cathy! With an artistic career of eight years in the audiovisual  (image, video and cinema), photography appeared naturally for me, because i had already practiced it as an autodidact since my adolescence. I started with nature photography and macro photography, then had the opportunity to test the development in laboratories. Gradually, I began the portrait style with models, and also collaborated with many artists from various artistic fields to enrich my work.
Photography is a real revelation for me. I've always been fascinated by the elements that surround me, by certain moments of life and emotions that our eyes capture, as well as the artistic vision that we can give of them. That's why, camera in hand, I like to explore what revolves around me and all the ways we can express ourselves in the nature and in this earth. Art (painting, music, literature, sewing, sculpture, etc.), science and history are also great sources of inspiration for me.

In my opinion, the photographic universe is rich due to its technique, but also the strong message that a shot can convey. In my opinion, it tells a moving story in a fixed frame, while taking shape through suggestion, but also the imagination and the emotion of the person who admires this image have and feel. So she is no longer this simple "spectator" but is herself part of the story. This is one of the things that I like to explore in my work, and thus to evoke my vision.

 

Chameleon-photographer and inspired, I gravitate around different kinds of photographs, and thus offer my services in various photographic fields by adapting to various types of projects.

Also loving post-production, it allows me to see my work from a different angle by giving it a unique and oniric atmosphere.
